Timing

Every split, live, from wherever the checkpoint is.

RFID mats at the start, finish and busy checkpoints. TapApp on a tablet on the mountain where a mat won't go. GPS trackers for everywhere in between. Every passing reaches the race page within seconds, and results are ready when the last runner's in.

How splits are captured

Mats, tablets and trackers, mixed on one course.

01 · Start, finish, busy checkpoints

RFID mats

UHF RFID readers and mats, sending reads over cellular, Wi-Fi or satellite. Several mats side by side for a wide finish.

02 · Remote checkpoints

TapApp

A bib grid on a phone or tablet: the marshal taps a runner's number as they come through. It keeps recording without signal and sends everything once it's back in range.

03 · Between checkpoints

GPS checkpoints

For runners with trackers, a passing is recorded when their GPS crosses the checkpoint, with no mat or marshal needed.

04 · Afterwards

Corrections

Fix a missed read or add a manual time, and the race page, the app and the results update straight away.

Formats we run
